Shona being a professional performer herself trained at the Janice Anne Wilson School of Dancing at the age of 3. Shona trained until she was 17 years old then went on to perform as a professional dancer doing pantomimes at the Kings Theatre, Glasgow and Motherwell Civic Theatre where she then became an Equity Member for the british actors union for performers. Moving on in her career she then started performing with t.v. stars such as Cannon and Ball, Keith Harris & Orville, Bobby Davro, The Grumbleweeds and Joe Longthorne to name but a few. Shona has also performed on Cruise Ships traveling the world, included in these, Carnival, P&O, Cunard and RCCL. During Shona's singing career, she had the opportunity to sing with Spandu Ballet's Tony Hadley and sang backing vocals on the Stars In Their Eyes touring show. She has also choreographed many shows within the entertainmaint industry including her very own stage productions. Shona has created Stage School to pass on her experiences and knowledge to the younger generation and teaching them what it's really like to be a professional perfomer.

Jordan Bergson - Drama Coach.

Jordan has only just completed his HNC College degree at Motherwell College and passed with flying colours. He is now teaching permenantly at Stage School in between his HND studies. Jordan was a student attending The Shona Halford Stage School and has performed in Stage Schools production of DISCO INFERNO and played the leading role of THE SHERIFF OF NOTTINHAM in BABES IN THE WOOD.  Jordan is currently studying for a BA in Drama and Teaching after completing his HND at Motherwell College and we look forward to his return very soon.

Louise Ryan - Student Teacher Musical Theatre.

Louise is also attending Motherwell College doing a full time course on Performing Arts. Louise was a student at The Shona Halford Stage School and is pleased to be part of the teaching team at the school. Louise performed in Stage School productions: DISCO INFERNO and played our fairy in BABES IN THE WOOD. Louise is currently stuying music at Motherwell College in between teaching at Stage School.

Kimberley Hannah - Class Assistant.

Kimberley joined stage school in 2006 and has performed in all of its productions since "A BRAND NEW PAIGE" , where she has had small speaking parts, been part of the chorus and was a dancer in the stage schools latest production of a "SHAKE, RIPPLE & ROLL". Kimberley has been fortunate enough to have performed in many theatres in Glasgow, Aberdeen and London where she has danced, sang and played acting rolls like Tinkerbell from "Peter Pan" and Molly and Tessie from "Annie". She has won many prizes in talent competitions up and down the country as well as America. Kimberley loves all aspects off musical theatre and has a particular passion for dance and has hopes of becoming a qualified dance teacher. She thoroughly enjoys assisting in the Junior musical class as well as the Intermediate dance class under the instruction of Shona.

Alexandra Brolly - Class Assistant - Zumba Instructor.

Alex has been a student here at Stage School since we started at our humble beginnings at The Murray Owen Centre. Performing as a dancer in TREASURE ISLAND, A BRAND NEW PAIGE, DISCO INFERNO and BABES IN THE WOOD. Alex is also delighted to be helping out in our Juniour section as a Musical Theatre Assistant. Alex will be going to study full time at Motherwell College - HNC Musical Theatre in August 2009.  Alex is now teaching the Melody Bear Class on a Saturday Morning working her way through to become a Licensed Melody Bear Teacher for the school. Alex has completed her Zumba Course and is now a Qualified Instructor.
